I swallowed a butterfly
If you care to know
When I answered the phone
And said hello

Minding my business
Living my life
Planning my future
Never thought twice

I swallowed a butterfly
Flew down my throat
Into my stomach
Panic evoked

Caused so much tension
Uneasy sleep
I sat up praying
Its wings would cease
